The Coaching Disclaimer and Terms and Conditions outlined below define the relationship between Coach and Coachee and underpin any services delivered by Kerry Kalloway. By booking in a package or session with Kalloway Coaching, you agree to have accepted the terms and conditions set out below:
COACHING DISCLAIMER
I understand that the coaching services I will be receiving from my Coach are not offered as a substitute for professional mental health care or medical care and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any mental health or medical conditions. I also understand that my Coach is not acting as a mental health counsellor or a medical professional.
Coaching is not to be used as a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, or other professional advice by legal, medical or other qualified professionals and that it is my exclusive responsibility to seek such independent professional guidance as needed.
If I am currently under the care of a mental health professional, it is recommended that I promptly inform the mental health care provider of the nature and extent of the coaching relationship agreed upon by myself and the Coach.
For legal purposes, I understand that coaching is currently an unregulated industry and that my Coach is not “licensed “ by any UK body even though the sessions may take place in the UK.
I understand and agree that I am fully responsible for my wellbeing during my coaching sessions, and subsequently, including my choices, decisions actions and results arising out of or resulting from the coaching relationship and his/her coaching sessions and interactions with the Coach.
As such, I agree that the Coach is not and will not be liable or responsible for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided by the Coach.
I understand that all comments and ideas offered by my Coach are solely for the purpose of aiding me in achieving the defined goals I create with my Coach. Coaching is a comprehensive process that may involve different areas of his or her life, including work, performance, finances, health, relationships, education, recreation and others. I agree that deciding how to handle these issues, incorporate coaching principles into those areas and implementing choices is exclusively the Client’s responsibility.
I understand that in order to enhance the coaching relationship, I agree to communicate honestly, be open to feedback and assistance and to create the time and energy to participate fully in the coaching journey.
I have the ability to give my informed consent, and hereby give such consent to my coach to assist me in achieving such goals and understand that results are not guaranteed.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. DESCRIPTION
Coaching is a partnership (defined as an alliance, not a legal business partnership) between the Coach and the Client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximise personal and professional potential.
Coaching is a collaborative conversation that aims to help you gain clarity and insights. It is focused purely on your agenda.
Coaching helps you discover the right way to progress, and by asking questions, helps you to find the right answers and take actions. Coaching is supportive and non-judgmental. You enter into coaching with the understanding that you are responsible for creating your own results.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Coach agrees to maintain the Code of Ethics and standards of behaviour set out by the AC GLOBAL CODE OF ETHICS

3. SERVICES
The coaching schedule will be arranged between the Coach and the Client and can be booked either in advance or session by session.
The Coach will be available to the Client by e-mail between scheduled meetings as defined by the Coach. The Coach may also be available for additional time, per Client’s request on a prorated basis as defined by the Coach (for example, reviewing documents, reading or writing reports, engaging in other client related services outside of coaching hours).
4. PROCEDURE
The time of the coaching meetings and/or location will be determined by Coach and Client based on a mutually agreed upon time.
The Client may contact the Coach by email between sessions to seek clarification regarding anything arising from a coaching session or for administrative purposes (e.g. where a client needs to rearrange a coaching session or make a payment).
5. CONFIDENTIALITY
This coaching relationship, as well as all information (documented or verbal) that the Client shares with the Coach as part of this relationship, is bound to confidentiality by the AC GLOBAL CODE OF ETHICS For Coaches, Mentors and Supervisors, but is not considered a legally confidential relationship (like in Medicine or Law). The Coach agrees not to disclose any information pertaining to the Client without the Client’s written consent. The Coach will not disclose the Client’s name as a reference without the Client’s consent.
According to the ethics of our profession, topics may be anonymously and hypothetically shared with other coaching professionals for training, supervision, mentoring, evaluation, and further coach professional development and/or consultation purposes.
Sessions may be recorded for either professional development or at the Client’s request. This will only happen when it is arranged in advance and there is explicit consent.
The Coach will sometimes make notes. These will not have the name or contact details of the client on them, and will be around a client’s approach to a subject, not details of the subject itself.
Where there is imminent threat of serious injury, harm or death to oneself or someone else the coach can use his or her judgement to disclose crucial information to the relevant bodies/ authorities as required to prevent such a situation. If the coach is required to testify in court where the client is accused of illegality, this break in confidentiality also applies.
The Coach agrees to keep all conversations and information with the Client private and confidential, as allowable by law. No personal information will be shared with anyone without the Client’s express permission. Where there are two or more persons known to one another receiving coaching the coach commits maintain the highest level of confidentiality to each individual concerned and will act with impartiality, always seeking to support the client.
6. CANCELLATION AND LATENESS POLICY
The Client agrees that it is the Client’s responsibility to notify the Coach at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled call/meeting if the client cannot attend the session. If applicable, the Client will be billed for a missed session if the client does not turn up or hasn’t rescheduled. The Coach will wait for 15 minutes, before the Client is noted as not turning up for the session.
7. PAYMENT TERMS
Fees are payable in advance at the time of booking and only on receipt of payment in full is a booking confirmed unless otherwise agreed. Where payment has not been received by the Coach in advance of a coaching session the Coach is not obliged to provide the session.
8. REFUNDS
There are no refunds available on single sessions if cancelled within 24 hours of the session.
9. FEEDBACK
As part of the process, feedback is welcome. The Coach may ask for a testimonial/feedback at intervals and at the end of working together.
10. TERMINATION
Either the Client or the Coach may terminate this agreement at any time.
